Ray Owen is the bishop of the San Antonia Area of the United Methodist Church where he supervises 355 congregations in the Southwest Texas Conference and 110 congregations in the Rio Grande Conference. Prior to his 1992 election as bishop, he was senior pastor of the 3,700 member First United Methodist Church of Bartlesville, Oklahoma.
